It was the Lungarotti winery, a cornerstone of the Umbrian wine world, that obtained DOC recognition for Torgiano Rosso and Bianco di Torgiano in 1978, as well as DOCG for Rosso di Torgiano Riserva in 1990.
The company then expanded its operations to Montefalco, further strengthening its Umbrian soul, with wines of extraordinary quality, such as Montefalco Rosso Lungarotti (92 pt Maroni), of elegant aromatic complexity and great structure and persistence.
