Campania IGT Aglianico Rossomarea 2011 Lunarossa
Description
The Aglianico Rossomarea di Lunarossa was born in vineyards located at the foot of the Piacentini Mountains, in the locality of Giffoni Valle Piana, in the province of Salerno.
It is mainly obtained from Aglianico and Merlot grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand in the months of September and October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine ages for 6 months in steel, 16 months in barrique and for further 15 months in bottle.
Rossomarea di Lunarossa is characterized by an intense ruby red color, with violet reflections. The nose opens with a complex bouquet of red berry fruit and rose candy, enriched with sweet spicy licorice notes. On the palate it is fresh and balanced, with soft tannins that accompany a pleasantly long finish.
Perfect to accompany pasta with robust sauces and red meats, this wine is ideal in combination with cold cuts and medium-aged cheeses.
