Description
The Gewurztraminer Mosaik by Kuentz-Bas is an Alsatian white wine from the hillside slopes of Husseren-les-Châteaux, along the famous Alsace Wine Route, at an altitude ranging from 300 to 400 meters. The soil is a true mosaic of clay, marl, limestone, loess and silt, offering ideal conditions for optimal grape maturation and preservation of freshness.
Harvesting is done exclusively by hand with careful selection of the clusters directly in the vineyard. After a delicate pressing lasting 8-10 hours, fermentation occurs spontaneously. The wine ages for 10 months in stainless steel tanks in contact with the total lees, prior to filtration and bottling.
On the nose, it stands out for its fine and delicate style, with aromas of yellow fruit, pink grapefruit, and fresh flowers, enriched by spicy notes upon opening. On the palate, it is straightforward and clear, with the typical roundness of the grape variety integrated into a straight and fresh structure, accompanied by a pleasant minerality.
It pairs perfectly with spicy or exotic dishes, as well as aged cheeses.
