Asti DOCG Vintage 2016 Fontanafredda

Asti Vintage di Fontanafredda was born in vineyards located in the Asti and Alba Langa, in the heart of the Asti DOCG.

It is entirely produced with Moscato Bianco grapes, harvested only by hand in the first ten days of September. After a soft pressing, protected from any oxidation, the fermentation takes place slowly in steel tanks, making use of the "mother yeast", preserved from previous fermentations in order to improve the fermentative performance. Subsequently the wine stays for a few weeks in contact with the same yeast to better define the organoleptic kit of the product.

Asti Vintage by Fontanafredda is characterized by a straw yellow color and a dense and soft foam. The nose opens with enveloping sensations of musk, linden flowers, hawthorn and orange blossom, enriched with hints of sage and honey. On the palate it is pleasantly sweet and aromatic, well balanced.

Excellent at the end of the meal with fruit, it is appreciated in combination with fine and delicate desserts, in particular with the typical Christmas desserts: pandoro and panettone.
