Description

Barbera d'Alba G.B. Burlotto is a wine produced mainly in the municipalities of Verduno and Roddi, where it expresses the essence of its territory. The vineyards are located on limestone soils with a balanced presence of clay, silt, and sand.

Vinification begins with manual harvesting which allows for careful selection of the grapes. After destemming, the must is transferred to open French oak vats and stainless steel tanks for alcoholic fermentation. During maceration, daily pump-overs and punch-downs are carried out, followed by malolactic fermentation in stainless steel and aging in large French oak barrels.

The colour is an intense ruby red; on the nose, this Barbera d'Alba displays a bouquet rich in red fruits and spicy notes. On the palate it is fresh and lively, with a pleasant acidity that enhances its structure.

This wine is perfect to pair with dishes from Piedmontese cuisine, such as starters of cured meats and cheeses, risottos, and meat main courses.
