Description

The Barbera d'Asti Superiore Nizza Riserva of the Coppo family was born in vineyards located in Castelnuovo Calcea, in the province of Asti.

It is produced exclusively with Barbera grapes, harvested and selected by hand in September. Fermentation takes place, with maceration in contact with the skins, in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. After malolactic fermentation the wine ages in wood for a period ranging from 13 to 24 months.

It is characterized by a very concentrated ruby color. The nose opens with a complex bouquet, with a predominance of balsamic and spicy notes, which give way to elegant hints of undergrowth. On the palate it is robust and structured, with excellent persistence.

Perfect to accompany roasted and grilled red meats, stewed meats and game, this Barbera goes very well with aged cheeses.
