Barolo DOCG Boscareto 2011 Principiano
Description
Ferdinando Principiano's Barolo Boscareto is one of the most representative labels of this excellent name of the Piedmontese wine Langa.
Nebbiolo grapes come from the homonymous Cru, Boscareto, located in the Monforte d'Alba area. This is made up of vines that exceed 40 years of age and thus know how to give the grapes a particular complexity. The vgneto is managed according to a very careful work in the field, carried out according to natural techniques that preserve the environment. The pressing of the bunches after the harvest still takes place with the feet. The stalks remain in contact with the must during the maceration phase and are then removed. Refine for a minimum period of 3 years in large 30 hectolitre oak barrels. A final period of maturation in the bottle makes the wine ready for marketing.
At sight it shows a garnet red color. Its perfume is reminiscent of red fruits, bitter cocoa, leather, orange zest and notes of mountain herbs. The sip is complex, rich, tannic but entirely played on a profile of absolute finesse and elegance.
Try it with a deer in salmì.
