Barolo DOCG 2014 Domenico Clerico
Description
Domenico Clerico's Barolo comes from an assembly of the Cru located around Monforte d'Alba.
On average, the Nebbiolo vines used are between 45 and 50 years old. Following the harvest and fermentation, the various plots are aged for 16 months in barriques and are assembled. The wine obtained continues its aging process in large wooden barrels, where it remains for 16 months. A final year of maturation in the bottle makes Barolo ready for marketing.
At sight it is ruby red, which turns towards the garnet hue. The perfume is reminiscent of raspberry and morello cherry, dried violet and rose petals. In the mouth it wraps on the palate with the finesse of the tannin and the consistency of its structure. It persists in a memory of berries.
To be combined with a dish of pappardelle with game ragù.
