Description
Barolo Falletto Vigna Le Rocche by Bruno Giacosa is one of the most prestigious wines from the Langhe, made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes sourced from the historic Le Rocche vineyard in the renowned Falletto cru, located in the municipality of Serralunga d’Alba. This vineyard is considered one of the most important in the area and produces Barolo with great character, depth, and longevity. The label is a genuine expression of Piedmontese tradition and the rigorous style of Bruno Giacosa, based on respect for the land and utmost care at every stage of production.
The grapes are carefully selected and vinified following a traditional approach that includes fermentation in steel tanks with maceration on the skins to favor the extraction of structure and aromatic complexity. The wine then undergoes a long aging period in large oak barrels, during which it develops balance, depth, and a refined tannic texture, followed by further bottle aging before release.
In the glass, it displays an intense garnet red color. The aromatic profile is broad and complex, with elegant notes of dried rose and violet intertwined with hints of cherry, small red fruits, spices, and balsamic nuances. On the palate, it is structured and deep, with noble and well-defined tannins supported by a balanced freshness that leads the sip toward a long, harmonious, and persistent finish.
It pairs perfectly with braised meats, game, substantial roasts, and aged cheeses.
