Description

Produced from one of the most historic vineyards of Fontanafredda, located in the M.G.A. Paiagallo in Barolo, this Barolo from Fontanafredda expresses the character of a unique territory, where soils rich in silt, sands, and clays confer complexity and structure. The vineyard "La Villa", positioned at 320 meters above sea level and managed according to organic and vegan principles, offers an elegant and harmonious expression of Nebbiolo.

The vinification occurs with grapes harvested at full maturity and placed in small crates to preserve the integrity of the berries. After destemming, fermentation begins spontaneously thanks to indigenous yeasts in steel tanks. A prolonged maceration on the skins allows for the extraction of the noblest components, followed by an aging of 30 months in oak barrels and further 8 months in bottles at a controlled temperature.

On the nose, it opens with intense hints of small red fruits, blackberry, and sour cherry, blending into a deep and captivating bouquet. On the palate, it is distinguished by its great richness, sweet tannin, and long persistence, offering a sip that combines structure and finesse in a refined balance.

Ideal with traditional Piedmontese meat main courses and medium or long-aged cheeses.
