Description
The Barolo of Borgo Castagni is produced by combining grapes from vineyards located in the municipality of Verduno.
It is made up of pure Nebbiolo grapes, which are pressed and destemmed, and then vinified using selected yeasts, with maceration on the skins for 22-25 days. The wine ages for a long time in large oak barrels.
Garnet red in colour, it reveals aromas of flowers, small red fruits and liquorice to the nose. The sip is warm and structured, with soft tannins and good persistence.
It pairs well with red meat and stewed game dishes and mature cheeses.
