Description

The Dubbel Bruin from the Steenbrugge brewery

Dubbel Bruin is a Belgian beer from Steenbrugge, the independent family-run brewery with two locations, one in Eemshaven, the other in Liesout. The brewery labels all represent the patron saint of brewers, S. Arnoldo. The brewery adds "gruut" to beers, its own secret spice blend whose recipe has been handed down since the Middle Ages.

How is Dubbel Bruin made?

This top-fermented beer is brewed with the addition of the brewery's "gruut".

Sight, nose, eye and palate

Brown in color, Dubbel Bruin is a Belgian Brown Ale with a distinctly malty profile, with a nose in which there are hints of caramel and honey and with a taste marked by notes of ripe fruit, citrus, spices, licorice and cinnamon.

What do you pair the Dubbel Bruin with?

The ideal combination of this beer is with ribs, blue cheeses and chocolate desserts.
