Very pale straw color, almost transparent. Sage and sweet flowers like jasmine and lemon blossoms. Good on the palate, very fragrant, very flavorful, and a clean finish. Good persistence.

Description

Solosole from Poggio al Tesoro, the winery of Marilisa Allegrini, is produced with Vermentino grapes from Corsican clones, harvested in the Le Sondraie vineyard, in the heart of the Bolgheri region. This particular variety benefits greatly from the abundant light typical of this area: it is the prolonged ripening in the sun that significantly enhances its aromas and flavors. Finally, the night harvest ensures that the grapes arrive at the winery without stress, preserving the fundamental aromatic precursors needed to achieve the typical elegance of Solosole.

After gentle pressing of the whole grapes, fermentation takes place in steel at a temperature of 16°C for 20 days. The wine ages on the fine lees and for an additional month in the bottle before reaching the market.

It is characterized by a straw yellow color with a good chromatic load. On the nose, it offers an intense and persistent bouquet, made of floral notes, enriched by a sudden perception of yellow fruit. Medium-bodied, fresh and delicate, it is appreciated for its juiciness and pleasantness to drink, its clean and crisp taste.

Perfect as an aperitif, it is ideal to pair with shellfish or sushi.
