Sauternes AOC Réserve 2010 Thomas Barton
Description
The Sauternes from the Thomas Barton Reserve winery was born in the prestigious French area of Bordeaux.
The wine is produced 80% with Sémillon grapes, a classic Bordeaux variety, and 20% with Sauvugnon Blanc grapes. During the harvest a targeted selection is made and directed towards the use of only the bunches which contain the properties necessary to make a high quality wine. The winemaking process follows the Classic Method of the great Sauternes.
Thomas Barton Reserve's Sauternes has a golden yellow color. The nose shows remarkable complexity and elegance, with fruity aromas (tropical, apricot) that are combined with sweet hints of jam (oranges) and honey. On the palate it is of excellent intensity and good freshness. The persistent aftertaste leaves sweet and fruity notes in the mouth.
Perfect with desserts and dry pastries, it can be surprising for the aperitif moment.
