Description

This Brunello di Montalcino is made from Sangiovese grapes sourced from the oldest vineyards of Capanna farm, located in the renowned Montosoli area, north of Montalcino. The winery, owned by the Cencioni family since 1957, is one of the historic estates in the region, with a long family tradition in producing high-quality wines.

The vinification involves alcoholic fermentation with long maceration on the skins, lasting between 25 and 30 days, in temperature-controlled Slavonian oak truncated-cone vats, followed by spontaneous malolactic fermentation in the same containers. The aging takes place in Slavonian oak barrels for about 34-38 months, followed by at least six months of further rest in the bottle.

In appearance, it shows an intense ruby color with garnet reflections. The aroma is broad and ethereal, with notes of ripe red fruit and vanilla. On the palate, it offers great balance and structure, with well-present tannins that are harmonious and a long-lasting taste.

It pairs magnificently with roasted red meats, game, and aged cheeses.
