Description
Ugolforte is a Brunello di Montalcino from Tenuta San Giorgio, born in the south-eastern area of Montalcino, in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, from vineyards located between 250 and 400 meters above sea level. Made from Sangiovese grapes, it authentically expresses the character of the territory, thanks to poor, rocky, mineral-rich soils that contribute to giving structure, elegance, and depth.
The grapes, hand-harvested and carefully selected, are vinified in oak and cement vats with long macerations, to best extract aromas and tannins. After fermentation, the wine undergoes a long ageing in large Slavonian oak barrels, which allows the structure to harmonize and the complexity and balance to develop.
In appearance, it has a ruby red color with garnet highlights. The bouquet is intense and refined, while the palate stands out for its elegance and drinkability, with a dense and silky tannic structure supported by a fresh acidity that leads the sip toward a long and harmonious finish.
Perfectly pairs with rich meat dishes, game, and aged cheeses.
