Carignano del Sulcis DOC 6 Mura 2015 Giba

The Carignano del Sulcis 6 Mura di Giba comes from old vineyards located within the Sulcis, in the Se Murasa area, from which the same company takes its name.

It comes entirely from Carignano grapes, which are harvested exclusively by hand. The must ferments, with a long maceration in contact with the skins, in oak barrels. Then the wine ages for 12 months in large oak barrels.

With an intense ruby red color, Carignano del Sulcis 6 Mura di Giba releases a complex bouquet on the nose, with aromas of Mediterranean scrub that are combined with elegant notes of black fruits. Imposing and intriguing in the mouth, where velvety tannins and a pleasant sapidity contribute to accompany towards a finish of great persistence.

Excellent to combine with mushroom risotto and stewed meats, it goes well with game dishes, blue and aged cheeses.
