Description
La Cruz Verde is an aging red wine produced by SotoManrique in the unique landscape of the Sierra de Gredos in Villalba, where old Garnacha vines grow at altitudes between 800 and 850 meters. The vineyards, surrounded by pine forests and close to the Becedas stream, benefit from mild temperatures and are planted on granite soils with a silty texture, capable of retaining moisture well, promoting vigorous plants.
The winemaking involves spontaneous fermentation in concrete vats, 15% of which with whole clusters, at controlled temperatures between 18 and 26°C. The wine then ages for 14 months in oak barrels. Before bottling, it undergoes a light filtration and contains very low levels of sulfites.
It presents a clear, bright cherry-red color. The aromatic profile expresses citrus and floral notes, while the sip is clean, delicate, with elegance and freshness perfectly balanced.
Ideal with light dishes based on white meat, mushrooms, or first courses with a fine aromatic profile.
