Description
The Extra Brut Champagne La Vallée Suspendue from the Gamet estate is crafted from a refined blend of Meunier, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay, grown in the crus of Mardeuil, Fleury-la-Rivière, and Damery. The wine stands out for its artisanal approach and strong identity tied closely to the terroir of the Vallée de la Marne, reflected in every bottle through a balance of structure, freshness, and aromatic depth.
Vinification takes place entirely in tonneaux, with malolactic fermentation completed, using a perpetual reserve started in 1999, integrated in varying proportions in each cuvée. Aging on the lees continues for at least six years before disgorgement, ensuring complexity and harmony. The low dosage enhances the expressive purity of the wine.
On tasting, it reveals an elegant and complex profile, with notes of dried fruits, candied citrus, and white flowers, enriched by hints of sweet spices and toasted nuances. The bubbles are fine and creamy, supported by a sharp freshness and a mineral texture that extends its persistence.
Ideal to pair with seafood dishes, aged cheeses, or white meats in refined preparations.
