Chianti Classico DOCG Casavecchia alla Piazza 2015 Buondonno

The Chianti Classico Casavecchia at Piazza di Buondonno comes to light from an 8 hectare organic vineyard located around the homonymous farm of Casavecchia, in the historic area of Chianti.

It is mainly made with Sangiovese grapes and with Merlot and Syrah grapes, harvested and selected by hand once the perfect ripeness has been reached. Fermentation takes place, with maceration on the skins, in steel and cement vats for 18 days, at a maximum temperature of 32 ° C. After malolactic fermentation, carried out in French oak barrels, the wine ages in the same containers for 10 months before being placed on the market.

This Chianti Classico has an intense ruby red color. There are aromas of ripe red fruits on the nose, accompanied by notes of spices and vanilla. On the palate it is intense and fresh, with sweet tannins and a pleasant final persistence.

Excellent with soups and mixed roasts with game, it goes very well with fresh or aged cheeses.
