Description

Chianti Classico Riserva Caparsino is a red wine with great personality, produced by Caparsa in the heart of Radda in Chianti. Made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes grown on soils rich in galestro and alberese, it represents one of the most authentic and terroir-driven interpretations of Chianti Classico. This wine expresses structure, energy, and depth, while maintaining an elegant style true to the artisanal tradition of the winery.

The grapes are hand-picked and vinified through spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, without filtration, to preserve the utmost integrity of the fruit and terroir. The ageing takes place in medium-sized oak barrels, where the wine matures slowly, gaining complexity, balance, and a refined tannic texture.

The wine shows an intense ruby red colour. On the nose, floral aromas emerge, accompanied by subtle blood-like notes, spicy nuances, and hints of ripe red fruit. The palate is deep and savoury, characterized by a dense and vibrant tannic weave, supported by freshness and elegance. The finish is long, persistent, and strongly terroir-driven.

Perfect paired with Florentine steak, game, braised meats, pappardelle with wild boar, and aged pecorino cheeses.
