Description
The Ser Lapo Riserva Privata was born within the Castello Fonterutoli company, owned by the Mazzei family, located in the heart of the splendid Chianti Classico area.
This wine is obtained by assembling Sangiovese (85%), Merlot (10%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%) grapes, selected and harvested manually starting from the end of September. After the fermentation and maceration processes, the product is left to rise in small oak barrels (50% new) for about fifteen months. This is followed by bottling and aging in glass, before being put on the market.
The Ser Lapo Private Reserve is characterized by a very intense ruby red color. The nose offers typical aromas of ripe red fruit, delicate notes of violets and spicy hints that occur later. The tannins stand out in the mouth but are well polished, together with a powerful and elegant structure.
Perfect to accompany very elaborate first courses, grilled and stewed meats. Excellent also with highly aged cheeses.
