Description
The wine Zac is a Chianti Classico Gran Selezione produced by Principe Corsini in the area of San Casciano in Val di Pesa.
The grapes come from old vineyards located at an average altitude of 270 meters above sea level, and are sent to ferment in steel tanks. Fermentation lasts for 16 days at a temperature of 28°C. This is followed by aging in used barriques for 18 months and further refinement in bottle for at least 12 months.
With a beautiful purple-red color and some translucency, the nose reveals notes of sour cherry, orange, and iris. On the palate, the attack is precise with well-mannered tannins and returning hints of red fruits alongside spicy notes reminiscent of tobacco and pepper. Fresh and enveloping, it remains highly concentrated and persistent on the palate.
Ideal with roasts and stewed meats, ravioli with porcini mushrooms, and wild boar sauces.
