Description
Chianti Classico Riserva Cultus is a red wine produced by Badia a Coltibuono, in the heart of the Chianti Classico area, between the towns of Gaiole in Chianti and Castelnuovo Berardenga. Made primarily from Sangiovese with the use of traditional grape varieties, it comes from vineyards on medium-textured soils rich in stones, elegantly expressing the authentic character of the Tuscan region.
Vinification takes place with natural fermentation using indigenous yeasts, followed by about 40 days of maceration on the skins with regular punching down to encourage balanced extraction. The wine is then aged for 24 months in barrels of various sizes and French oak barriques, contributing to its complexity, structure, and harmony.
It displays an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it delivers aromas of morello cherry and ripe fruit, enriched by elegant balsamic and spicy nuances from the aging process. On the palate, it is full-bodied, fresh and balanced, with well-defined tannins, pleasant smoothness, and a long finish that enhances its elegance.
Excellent with roasts, game, and aged cheeses.
