Description
The Chianti of the historic Fattoria dei Barbi, which since the last century has been producing Chianti wine as well as the famous Brunello.
The wine is mainly based on Sangiovese, to which low percentages of other red grapes are added. The vinification takes place in the traditional way, with a not too long maceration in steel tanks.
Brilliant ruby red in colour, the nose expresses a bouquet with fruity and vinous aromas. The sip is fresh, slightly tannic.
It goes well with classic Tuscan cuisine, from appetizers of cured meats and liver croutons, to legume soup, tripe, Florentine steak.
