Chianti DOCG 2013 Petriolo
Description
The Chianti Petriolo of Fattoria Petriolo was born in vineyards located on the hills of Rignano sull'Arno, in the province of Florence.
It is mainly produced with Sangiovese and Canaiolo Nero, Ciliegiolo and Colorino grapes, rigorously harvested by hand between the end of September and mid-October. The grapes are selected in the vineyard, then fermented with maceration on the skins for about 10 days at controlled temperature. The wine then ages in steel with a short passage in cask and ages in bottle for about 1 month before being marketed.
Petriolo is a wine with a ruby red color and an elegant and full bouquet, among which pleasant notes of red berry fruits stand out. The taste is harmonious and dry, with light tannins and a good structure.
Perfect to accompany first courses and meats, both red and white, it is ideal in combination with cold cuts, salami and medium-textured cheeses.
