Description
The Conero Cùmaro Riserva from Umani Ronchi comes from vineyards located in the municipality of Osimo, in the province of Ancona.
It is made exclusively from native red grapes, harvested only by hand in the second decade of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 27-29°C for 12-14 days. Subsequently, the wine ages in barriques for 12-14 months and spends a further 6-8 months in the bottle before being released onto the market.
The Cùmaro is characterized by a ruby red color with garnet highlights. On the nose, it opens with a wide and intense bouquet of plums, blackcurrant, and morello cherry, enriched by pleasant hints of black pepper, vanilla, and tobacco. On the palate, it is soft and enveloping, with smooth tannins and a finish that leaves a chocolatey aftertaste.
Perfect to accompany red meats and game, it is also ideal with mature cheeses.
