Cortona DOC Borgo 2014 Tenimenti Luigi d'Alessandro

The Cortona Borgo Syrah of Tenimenti Luigi d'Alessandro was born in vineyards located in the Tenimenti d'Alessandro, in the heart of Cortona.

It is produced exclusively with Syrah grapes. Maceration and fermentation last only 15 days, to obtain a more immediate pleasantness linked to the fruitiness and softness. Subsequently the wine ages in barriques at controlled temperature for 12 months and for further 6 months in cement.

Borgo Syrah is characterized by a deep, shining red color. The nose opens with fruity hints of undergrowth and blackberries, enriched with pleasant balsamic and spicy notes of licorice root. On the palate it is pleasantly soft and well balanced, with silky and persistent tannins.

Perfect to accompany cold cuts and grilled vegetables, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
