Description
Corvonovello is the new wine that represents the first expression of the harvest for the Corvo winery, obtained from a blend of Frappato and Nero d'Avola grapes harvested in central-eastern Sicily, between the provinces of Agrigento and Caltanissetta.
The process begins with the classic carbonic maceration of the whole bunches followed by the relative soft pressing and a short fermentation at 20 ° C on the skins in which the product acquires the right chromatic charge and the vinous and fruity aromas that characterize it.
It shows an intense ruby red color with violet reflections. The nose reveals hints of strawberry, wild berries and morello cherry which are combined with typical aromas of fermenting must. The mouth is elegant, full-bodied and consistent, with a persistence of the fruit that extends the pleasantly full and harmonious finish.
It goes well with Italian antipasti, cold cuts and pizza. To be tried in the classic combination with chestnuts.
