Côtes Catalanes IGP Blanc 2016 Matassa
Description
Matassa Blanc comes from vineyards cultivated according to an organic cultivation system, located in the French Roussillon region.
It is obtained from a blend composed of 70% from the Grenache Gris variety and the remaining 30% from the Maccabeu variety. Fermentation starts from the activity of indigenous yeasts naturally present on the skins and takes place inside the same barrels in which the wine ages for about 18 months.
The white version of Matassa has an intense and brilliant golden yellow color. The bouquet bursts with notes of white fruits and flowers, citrus notes and a strong flint, which is accompanied by hints of aromatic herbs and a beautiful spicy texture. In the mouth, the mineral character already perceived in the nose is confirmed. The entrance is dynamic and snappy, hinged on flavor and a delicious freshness.
Perfect with fish appetizers and main courses, white meat dishes and with not excessively seasoned cheeses. Its energy and its spicy texture make it suitable for pairing with equally spicy and intense dishes.
