Description

Refiano is a Fiano di Avellino from Tenuta Cavalier Pepe, made from Fiano grapes grown on the hillsides in the municipalities of Lapio, Montefredane, and Montefalcione in Irpinia. The soils, composed of marl and limestone with volcanic elements, help to give the wine elegance, minerality, and a strong sense of place.

The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected, then pressed whole; the must is clarified at low temperatures and fermentation takes place at a low temperature to preserve the aromatic profile, followed by aging on fine lees and further maturation in the bottle.

It exhibits a bright straw-yellow color; the nose is delicate and complex, with notes of white flowers, acacia, peach, and pear, accompanied by mineral and herbaceous nuances; the palate is refined, broad, and harmonious, with pleasant freshness, good sapidity, and a long, elegant finish.

It pairs perfectly with seafood dishes, shellfish, vegetables, legumes, and light, delicate preparations.
