Description

Fruit of the tradition and innovative spirit of the Barone Pizzini winery, Franciacorta Extra Brut Golf 1927 is born in the hilly territories of Franciacorta, particularly in the municipalities of Provaglio d’Iseo, Passirano, Corte Franca, and Capriolo. The name pays tribute to the foundation of one of the first golf courses in Italy by Barone Edoardo Pizzini, a symbol of the pioneering spirit of the estate. The wine is produced from Chardonnay grapes grown in vineyards located between 200 and 350 meters above sea level.

Vinification involves gentle pressing of the grapes and fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. This is followed by aging for about eight months in steel before bottling. Maturation on the lees in bottle continues for a period between 20 and 30 months, contributing to the development of aromatic complexity and structure.

In the glass, it shows a fine and persistent perlage, accompanied by delicate aromas of citrus, white flowers, and light toasted notes. The palate is harmonious, vibrant, and linear, with a dry and dynamic taste that enhances freshness and minerality, offering a persistent and refined finish. The balance between finesse and character makes it a Franciacorta with a strong personality, able to best express the character of the territory.

Perfect as an aperitif, it elegantly accompanies seafood dishes, pasta with vegetables or fish, white meats, and cheeses such as Grana Padano.
