Friuli Colli Orientali DOC Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso 2015 La Tunella

The Friuli Colli Orientali Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso of the La Tunella winery is born in vineyards located in the heart of the Friulian Hills. Thanks to their unmistakable style, La Tunella wines are the perfect expression of the terroir.

It is produced exclusively with Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso grapes, harvested during the last week of September. After destemming and soft pressing, the grapes ferment in stainless steel tanks in contact with the skins. During this process frequent pumping over is carried out with the aim of obtaining an intense color and noble tannins. Subsequently the wine ages in barriques for 4 months and for a further period in the bottle.

It is characterized by an intense ruby red color, with violet reflections. The nose opens with a large, rich and intense bouquet, with elegant hints of undergrowth, wild blackberry and raspberry, enriched with pleasant spicy notes of cocoa and tobacco. On the palate it is dry and pleasantly full, with a remarkable structure and a delicately bitter aftertaste. The wine has a perfect taste-olfactory correspondence.

Perfect to accompany red and roasted meats, it is ideal in combination with noble poultry and stewed meats.
