Friuli Colli Orientali DOC Rosso L'Arcione 2011 La Tunella

The Friuli Colli Orientali Rosso L'Arcione of the La Tunella winery is born in vineyards located in the heart of the Friulian Hills. Thanks to their unmistakable style, La Tunella wines are the perfect expression of the terroir.

It is produced with Pignolo and Schioppettino grapes, harvested during the first week of October. After racking, the must ferments with maceration on the skins, in barriques at controlled temperatures. Subsequently the wine ages in barrique for 4 years, and for a further period in the bottle, before being put on the market.

It is characterized by a bright and intense ruby red color, with garnet reflections. The nose opens with a fine and intense bouquet, with elegant aromas of black currant and cherry, enriched with pleasant spicy notes of leather and licorice. On the palate it is round and pleasantly decisive, with tannins that give it a unique character. The wine has a remarkable finish, very long and full of flavor.

Perfect to accompany red meats and game, it is ideal in combination with roasts and aged cheeses.
