Friuli DOC Sauvignon Blanc 2018 Villa Chiopris
Description
This Sauvignon Blanc was born in the vineyards around the historic Villa Chiopris estate, owned by the Livon family in the DOC Friuli region.
It is made exclusively with Sauvignon Blanc grapes, mechanically harvested. After a cold maceration pressing and a cleaning of the must by decanting, the wine ferments in steel barrels at a controlled temperature of 15 ° C. Once the fermentation process is over, it is left to rest for about 4 months in the same barrels, before moving on to bottling and subsequent refinement in the bottle.
It is characterized by a straw yellow color. It has an interesting scent of sage, which is accompanied by strong notes of pepper and delicate hints of hazelnut. In the mouth it shows a harmonious and aromatic wine, with a medium persistence.
It goes well with fish or vegetable risottos, shellfish or vegetable dishes.
