Description

What kind of wine is it

Garnacha Blanca by Viña Zorzal is a white wine with a dry and fresh character, capable of combining varietal precision with a clear regional identity. Made from Garnacha Blanca grapes, it stands out for its medium body and a clean aromatic profile that leads to a long and balanced finish. The cellar work, focused on cold maceration and spontaneous fermentation, results in a consistent and well-balanced sip. Aging on fine lees adds structure and preserves the original freshness and definition of the fruit.

Where it comes from

This wine originates in Corella, in the heart of the Ribera Baja within Navarra. The vineyards are located at high altitudes, spread over hills between the Ebro Valley and the Iberian mountains. The bush-trained vines dig their roots into stony soils—ideal conditions for even ripening and preserving a pronounced freshness. The project is led by the Sanz family, now in its second generation, and is based on a strong link with local tradition and sustainable agricultural practices.

How it is produced

Harvesting is done entirely by hand during the coolest evening hours, carefully aimed at preserving the grapes' aromatic integrity and natural acidity. In the cellar, after destemming, the bunches undergo a cold maceration for a few hours, essential to extract the free-run must through controlled skin contact. Fermentation is started exclusively by native yeasts. Afterwards, the wine matures for seven months in contact with its own lees in Flextank containers and in barrels, retaining the typical features of the variety.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it shows a clear lemon-yellow color of medium intensity. The bouquet is clean and delicate, marked by clear notes of white-fleshed fruit and citrus, with peach and apricot sensations intertwined with light mineral undertones. On the palate, it is dry and fresh, supported by a medium body and a very linear taste progression. The flavors faithfully follow the aromas, leading the tasting to a long and defined finish that never feels heavy.

Food pairing

Thanks to its natural acidity and aromatic clarity, it is perfect for accompanying baked fish dishes, where freshness balances soft textures. At the table, it pairs naturally with shellfish and light white meat preparations. As a tribute to Spanish tradition, it harmonizes well with a classic potato tortilla and precisely supports the flavor of eggs. It's also a solid companion for roasted vegetables or dishes enhanced with aromatic herbs.

When to serve it

This label proves the ideal choice for those seeking a tense and fragrant sip, perfect for light lunches or informal fish-based dinners. The patient aging on lees gives the wine solid balance, making it enjoyable from the very start but able to retain its taste qualities for a later period. The consistency between nose and palate and the defined finish also make it perfect for tasting moments aimed at appreciating the most authentic expressions of Navarra.
