Description

The Gevrey-Chambertin Vignes Belles by Thierry Mortet is a red wine produced in the prestigious Burgundy region of France, specifically in the Côte de Nuits at Gevrey-Chambertin. This exclusive wine is made from Pinot Noir grapes, grown in a vineyard of less than one hectare with vines aged between 15 and 35 years, on clay-limestone soils.

The vinification process includes manual harvesting of the grapes. The wine matures for 16 months, 5 of which are in vats and 11 in oak barrels, with 30% new wood used. This method gives the wine a unique balance between the fruity characteristics of the grape and the complexity brought by oak aging.

On tasting, Vignes Belles reveals an airy, floral nose, with a soft and smooth palate that opens to tension and a beautiful persistent finish. These features make it a wine of great elegance and finesse.

This wine pairs beautifully with white meats and poultry in its early years, later evolving to pair with more structured dishes such as duck and game birds. Its aging potential ranges from 5 to 8 years, during which the wine will further develop its complexity and aromas.
