Description

Gin Rosa Ciais by Bordiga is a gin produced in Cuneo, in Piedmont, defined by the meeting of juniper harvested in the Italian Occitan Alpine Valleys and the delicacy of rose buds. The influence of the alpine environment and Mediterranean air contributes to the juniper’s distinctive aromatic qualities, while the rose distillate gives the product its characteristic floral profile and pale pink hue.

Production follows an age-old, traditional process, using only high-quality raw materials. The botanicals, with the addition of rose buds, are left to macerate in pure grain alcohol for 48–72 hours through a handcrafted process, without ultrasound, centrifuges, or other non-natural extraction methods; this is followed by distillation of both the solid and liquid parts, filtration with natural paper filters made of pure cellulose and, after bottling, a resting period in the Bordiga cellars of at least 15–20 days at a constant temperature of about 10 °C.

In appearance it shows a delicate pale pink color. On the nose it offers a refined bouquet of rose and citrus, while on the palate it is fresh and rounded, with a fragrant, persistent finish that enhances the balance between juniper notes and the floral component.

Ideal for mixing, it lends itself to preparing cocktails to be served well-chilled.
