Greco di Tufo DOCG 2017 Ciro Picariello
Description
The Greco di Tufo di Ciro Picariello comes from the vineyards located at an altitude of 500 meters in the Altavilla area, in the province of Avellino. The vines have an average age of 15 years and an orientation of the rows arranged in a south-east direction, located on a mainly clayey soil.
The harvest takes place in the first half of October; alcoholic fermentation follows an aging period of about 8 months in steel. Another 3 months of aging in bottle make the wine ready for marketing.
To the eye it appears straw yellow. The nose is composed of a fruity profile reminiscent of citrus and melon, floral of orange blossom and sulfur mineral. In the mouth it is elegant and finely sapid, with a lively freshness to mark the sip.
Perfect in accompaniment to a grilled squid.
