Irpinia DOC Falanghina Lila 2025 Tenuta Cavalier Pepe

"Lila" Falanghina from Tenuta Cavalier Pepe is a white wine from Campania made from Falanghina grapes grown on the hills of Irpinia, in the province of Avellino, an area particularly suited to viticulture; the vineyards are on deep, sandy soils enriched with volcanic elements that lend character and elegance to the wine’s profile.

The grapes are hand-harvested and swiftly brought to the winery, where they are carefully selected and gently pressed; vinification takes place at low temperatures with fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, followed by a period of ageing on fine lees and a subsequent rest in the bottle to harmonize the overall profile.

It shows a bright, crystalline straw yellow colour; the bouquet boasts intense aromas of fresh fruit such as pineapple, banana, apple, and pear, accompanied by delicate floral nuances; on the palate, it is fresh, balanced, and pleasantly savoury, with good acidity and a persistent finish recalling fruity notes.

Perfect pairing with appetisers, fish dishes, light fried foods, fresh cheeses, white meats, and delicately spiced preparations.
