Description

What kind of wine is it

Paltrinieri’s Lambrusco di Sorbara Leclisse is a dry sparkling wine born of a selection dedicated to the most elegant and delicate variety in the Lambrusco family. In the glass it shows a pale, powder-pink hue, with a very fine and persistent perlage. The style is taut and clean, driven by acidity and freshness rather than softness.

Where it comes from

The grapes come from the Sorbara area in the province of Modena, the heartland of Lambrusco di Sorbara. Paltrinieri is a family-run winery now in its third generation, renowned for producing this Lambrusco. The connection to the land is direct: Leclisse expresses the character of the variety just as it grows in the vineyards around Sorbara.

How it is made

It is made from Lambrusco di Sorbara grapes, vinified using only the free-run juice and without skin maceration, to preserve the pale color and delicate profile. After alcoholic fermentation, the secondary fermentation lasts at least three months using the Martinotti method, which gives the wine its fine mousse and fresh, immediate fruit.

Tasting notes

The nose opens with white flowers and hawthorn, with red apple skin and wild strawberry, followed by hints of raspberry and vanilla. The palate is dry, razor-sharp and clean, supported by vibrant acidity. The finish is fresh, persistent and delicate, with a fruity note recalling raspberry.

What to pair it with

Excellent as an aperitif and a precise match for oysters and raw fish tartare, where the acidity supports the natural sweetness of the sea. It also works well with a charcuterie board, cutting through the fat, and with Emilian dishes such as tortellini and bollito di carne.

When to serve it

Perfect for moments when you want a fresh and lively glass: from aperitifs with friends to lunches and dinners featuring Emilian cuisine. Its dry style makes it suitable throughout the meal, especially when the menu starts with cured meats and seafood starters.
