Description
The Chardonnay Re Noir is a white wine from Piedmont made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes. Produced by Cascina lo Zoccolaio, located in Barolo, it represents the elegance and authenticity of the Langhe region. The careful selection of grapes and the attention during the winemaking process contribute to giving the wine a refined and harmonious style.
The grapes are hand-picked in boxes and subjected to a soft pressing, using exclusively the free-run must. Fermentation takes place in second-passage French oak barrels. The wine is then aged for nine months in the same barrels, followed by an additional twelve months of resting in the bottle, ensuring complexity and balance in the finished product.
On the nose, intense mineral aromas are perceived, accompanied by floral notes of acacia and chamomile. The color is intense straw yellow, bright and inviting. On the palate, it is full, savory, and structured, with marked elegance and harmony between the aromatic and mineral components, making it particularly refined.
It is ideal paired with fish and white meat dishes.
