Description
Langhe Darmagi is a particular and unique label in the range of Angelo Gaja's great wines. Deeply tied to his land and to native Piedmontese vines, at the end of the 1970s he decided to plant a Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard, which settled very well among the expanse of Nebbiolo rows of the Langhe.
At the end of the classic vinification with maceration on the skins, the wine ages for 12 months in barrique and for another 12 months in traditional large oak barrels.
It is an elegant red, with a dark red color and with a bouquet that expresses beautiful notes of black currant, blackberry, cherry, spicy hints and light shades of green pepper. Structured and powerful, it has important tannins and a rich and complex sip, which closes on harmonious and refreshing balsamic notes.
To be paired with roasted red meats and game.
