Description

Elio Altare's Nebbiolo is a wine produced in the areas of La Morra and Monforte, made from Nebbiolo grapes sourced from vineyards aged between 20 and 50 years, located on soils that are partly calcareous and partly sandy, with predominantly south and south-east exposures. The production expresses an elegant and territorial style, capable of enhancing the finesse of the grape variety.

Vinification is carried out through maceration on the skins in rotofermenters at controlled temperature for several days, in order to achieve a balanced extraction of color and aromas. The wine then ages for a short period in used French barriques, developing harmony and complexity without losing varietal freshness.

It displays a ruby red color. On the nose it is delicate, with floral hints reminiscent of rose petals. On the palate it reveals soft but not dry tannins, accompanied by an intense expression of red fruit and a good acidity that gives balance and drinkability.

It pairs perfectly with first courses, red meats and medium-aged cheeses.
