Description
The Pietra Magica Stupore originates from the vineyards protected by the "Mahoi" of Langa. This red wine comes from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Vigna Magica in Serralunga d'Alba, on south and southeast-facing calcareous marl soils at about 200 meters above sea level. The wine is inspired by ancient beliefs and legends tied to the peasant magic of the Langhe, which attributed to carved stones and ancestral rites the power to protect the vineyards and enhance the quality of the grapes, evoking a deep connection between territory, history, and tradition.
The winemaking follows an approach inspired by the ancient techniques of Langhe: halfway through fermentation, the Nebbiolo is separated from its skins and left in contact for at least two hours with those of Barbera, and then returned to its original skins. After alcoholic fermentation, it undergoes submerged cap maceration for up to twenty days, during which malolactic fermentation occurs naturally. The wine is aged for a year in large wooden barrels, promoting the harmonious evolution of the wine.
On the nose, it presents a surprising freshness and an elegant complexity, dominated by fruity notes and subtle hints of spices. On the palate, it shows a balanced structure, with smoothed tannins and precise acidity that enhance its pleasantness. The result is an immediate red capable of evolving over time, endowed with a finesse that makes it captivating from the first sip.
Pair it with truffle dishes, braised and roasted meats, or impress your guests by pairing it with a platter of aged cheeses.
