Description
Historic estate of Verduno, G.B. Burlotto has been producing great wines since the mid-19th century. The estate covers 16 hectares, with vineyards spread across 14 crus of the municipal areas of Verduno, Barolo, Monforte d’Alba, and Roddi.
In addition to creating a range of Barolo labels dedicated to different Additional Geographic Mentions, it also produces an excellent Nebbiolo, made from a selection of grapes from the youngest vines of the estate. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and open French oak vats, with skin maceration, pumping over, and punching down. Before bottling, the wine ages for 8-10 months in large oak barrels.
It presents a ruby red color, with a fragrant bouquet characterized by aromas of morello cherry, raspberry, redcurrant, and delicate spicy hints. The palate is smooth, with fine tannins, crisp fruit, and a pleasantly fresh finish.
