Description
The Lugana Annaberta by Cottini is made from Trebbiano grapes and a strictly manual harvest, in the first week of September. The grapes are selected and handpicked, then immediately chilled to a temperature of about 5°C. Once at the winery, they are destemmed and subsequently pressed.
The pressed grapes are left to macerate for 8-10 hours, followed by gentle pressing and natural cold static clarification of the must. The wine ferments at a low temperature and stays on its own lees for about 6 months until bottling.
Straw yellow with greenish reflections in the glass, it expresses delicate nuances of white flowers, citrus fruits, and tropical fruits on the nose, followed by more complex notes of almond and white pepper, with a final closure on aromatic herb tones. The sip is fresh, pleasant, and well-balanced.
Its fresh and inviting aroma makes it the ideal wine for aperitifs, but it also pairs well with appetizers, and first and second courses based on fish, especially lake fish like trout, perch, and whitefish. Absolutely try it with fresh cheeses.
