Description

What kind of wine it is

The Cabernet Sauvignon from La Torre is a Tuscan red wine with a clear and balanced profile. It originates from a meticulous selection of grapes from the historic Stringaio vineyard, located in the renowned wine-producing area of Montecarlo. Vinification and aging in steel containers enhance the varietal character, resulting in a good structure enriched with fruity and spicy nuances. The outcome is a savory and straightforward glass, perfect for elegantly accompanying a meal focused on land-based dishes.

Where it comes from

This wine is born from a specific and limited portion of the Stringaio vineyard, located in the municipality of Montecarlo in the province of Lucca. The association with the Montecarlo territory defines an area historically dedicated to viticulture, where the characteristics of soil and climate play a fundamental role. This precise territorial origin allows for a focused expression of the grape variety, delivering the authentic imprint of the Lucchese landscape in the glass with a consistent and solid varietal expression.

How it is produced

The manual harvest takes place between the end of September and the beginning of October, ensuring a careful selection of bunches. In the cellar, after destemming and a very gentle pressing, the must undergoes alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature of 28 °C. This is followed by a fifteen-day maceration on the skins to promote the correct extraction of color and tannins, accompanied by malolactic fermentation. Before being released, the wine matures for ten months in steel and continues its evolution with a further bottle aging period of six months.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it displays a captivating intense ruby red color, characterized by a compact and lively hue. On the nose, it offers a clean and enticing bouquet, dominated by fresh red fruit aromas that harmoniously intertwine with delicate spicy nuances. On the palate, it is savory and extremely well balanced, supported by a well-integrated structural weave. The sip unfolds with a regular pace, culminating in a persistent finish that echoes the freshness of the fruit perceived on the nose.

Food pairings

At the table, it shows a marked aptitude for land-based appetizers, where the freshness and structure perfectly balance the savoriness of local cured meats. It finds its ideal match alongside red meats and is an excellent companion for grilled or roasted cuts. Its aromatic streak and taste profile make it especially suited to enhance the intense flavors of game-based menus, creating a harmonious and traditional link with rich and spicy preparations such as stewed wild boar.

When to serve it

It is the perfect label for convivial moments that require a red wine of good consistency yet easy and pleasant to approach. Its ability to accompany an entire meal makes it a key player at lunches and dinners dedicated to heartier culinary traditions. Thanks to careful cellar aging, it arrives in the glass with a harmonious and expressive profile, ready to enhance bold flavors. It is the wine to choose when you want to combine the immediacy of fruit with solid gastronomic reliability, ensuring a fulfilling experience.
