Description
The Montecarlo Rosso by La Torre is produced from a selection of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, coming from a small portion of the Stringaio vineyard, located in the municipality of Montecarlo, in the province of Lucca.
The grapes are hand-harvested between the end of September and the beginning of October. The clusters are separated from the stalks and the must is obtained through a very gentle pressing. Fermentation takes place in steel for 10 days at a temperature of 28°C, followed by a 15-day maceration on its skins. After the malolactic fermentation is completed, the wine remains in steel for 10 months and matures for a further 6 months in the bottle.
Deep ruby red in color, it offers a range of aromas on the nose ranging from fresh red fruit to spices. On the palate, it is savory and balanced, with good structure, and has a fruity and persistent finish.
Perfectly pairs with land appetizers and red meats, excellently accompanying game-based menus.
