Description
The Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Riserva Il Tralcetto is a red wine produced by Cantina Zaccagnini, nestled among the hills of Bolognano, in Abruzzo. Its name refers to the iconic vine shoot tied by hand around the neck of each bottle, a symbol of the connection between wine and territory. The grapes come from vineyards cultivated on medium-textured clay soils, in a natural setting that combines tradition and respect for the environment.
The harvest, usually medium-late, is followed by gentle pressing and submerged cap maceration with fermentation at controlled temperatures. Racking occurs upon reaching optimal parameters, while aging is aimed at preserving the wine's typicity and structure, ensuring a harmonious and recognizable profile.
Visually, it presents a purple-red color with violet reflections. On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of red fruits accompanied by light spicy notes of white pepper. On the palate, it shows a medium-bodied, lively, and well-balanced structure, offering a dynamic and pleasant sip.
It pairs perfectly with cold cuts, first courses with meat sauces, mushrooms, or vegetables.
