Napa Valley AVA Pinot Nero Carneros 2017 Robert Mondavi Winery
Description
This Pinot Noir is born in the splendid vineyards of the Robert Mondavi Winery, located in the famous Californian Napa Valley.
It is made entirely with Pinot Noir grapes, carefully harvested and selected. After a maceration lasting about 20 days, the wine is left to ferment in oak barriques. In the same containers, it is then left to evolve for about 5 months, in order to amplify its organoleptic characteristics, in harmony with the American wine culture. Bottling and refinement in glass follows.
This Pinot Noir has a limpid ruby red color. The nose offers a captivating mix of black cherry and plum, with sensations of undergrowth and delicate and elegant hints of thyme. In the mouth it is of great structure, with very strong flavors of blackberry, spices and herbs, which accompany a persistent finish.
Perfect with elaborate dishes such as red meats, roasts, game and well-aged fresh cheeses.
